The Arizona Wildcats have climbed three spots to No. 18 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after their 61-39 season-opening win over New Mexico in Week 1 on Saturday.
Arizona was ranked No. 21 in the preseason poll but climbed after its win, which featured a historic performance from wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who had 10 catches for 304 yards and four touchdowns in the game.
Arizona rose in the ranking thanks to losses from Florida State, previously No. 10, and Texas A&M, previously No. 20, who fell out of the ranking.
Arizona also passed, LSU, which dropped seven spots to No. 19, and Clemson, which fell eight positions to No. 22.
Only one team previously ranked behind Arizona passed the Wildcats, with USC going from No. 23 to No. 14 with its win over LSU Sunday.
