Janine Sickmeyer opened Storyline Bookshop in Upper Arlington converting the space long occupied by “Brown Shoes” in Tremont Center into a cozy, independent bookstore.
An avid reader, entrepreneur, wife and mom of four, Janine says she has long dreamed of opening her own bookstore.
“I love reading, and my kids do, too,” Janine shared. “I wanted to create a place where the community can come together, share a love for books, and participate in events.”
In addition to a curated selection of rare and collectible books, Storyline regularly hosts a variety of events, including three book clubs, children’s activities, and even themed gatherings like the upcoming “You’ve Got Mail” day on September 22nd.
“We’ve had incredible support from everyone,” Janine said. “We’re excited to see how the store is becoming a place for people to connect.”
The store is open daily from 8am until 8pm at2108 Tremont Center.
With cozy reading nooks, rooms dedicated to specific genres like fantasy romance and mystery thrillers, a play area for kids, a gorgeous bookcase ladder, a focus on Ohio authors and a schedule full of exciting events, Storyline Bookshop is a great new addition to the Central Ohio community.
