Saturday is your last chance to snag a book — or many — from the Fall Book Sale at Natrona County Public Library.
All items range in price from just 50 cents to two dollars. Gracing the shelves of the sale are hot authors like James Patterson and J.K. Rowling. Books range in age from new releases in the last year to vintage books dating back decades.
It isn’t just books that are on sale either. There are puzzles, DVDs, VHS tapes, vinyl records, games and CDs.
Don’t worry about feeling overwhelmed by a mess of unorganized books to sort through, the volunteers with Friends of the Natrona County Public Library, who run the sale every year, have carefully organized every book that comes through their doors.
Sherry Good, co-president of Friends of the Natrona County Public Library, said that the majority of books come from donations from the community. The rest are pulled from the libraries shelves.
“We’re only as good as our donors, and our donors are amazing,” said volunteer Laurie Fletcher.
Good said that the three day fall sale typically brings in around $7,000 for the non-profit group. They have three other sales throughout the year to drum up more money.
Dec. 5 to 7 will be the Winter Bag Sale. Pay by the size and fill of your bag rather than by the item at this sale.
Friends of the Natrona County Public Library donates at least $25,000 to the library every year, Good said.
This year marks the 52nd year of book sales to support the library. Make sure to grab a reservation for Saturday or you will have to wait until December for the next sale.
