BACON COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – A Bacon County business is turning 100!
Cohen’s of Alma is a department store that’s been around since 1924, one of the oldest single-family-owned businesses in the State of Georgia.
Saturday, the town of Alma honored the store’s rich history in the community with a car show, bands, food trucks.
At 9:30 a.m. Saturday Morning, the town held a street naming and dedication ceremony as a portion of Mercer Street will be renamed to Nathan Cohen Way.
WTOC visited the Bacon County business to learn about the store and family’s rich history in the area.
