People from across the nation head to the renowned Repair Shop barn in West Sussex, hoping their cherished items will be restored to their original splendour by the programme’s talented experts.
The team consistently exceeds expectations, often moving their guests to tears as they breathe new life into treasured possessions.
Kirsten Ramsay, a master in ceramics, has been with The Repair Shop since its inception in 2017.
Her journey began long before, following her training with an internship at The V&A Museum and further honing her skills in The British Museum’s Ceramics Conservation department.

While building her own business as a ceramic conservator and serving prestigious clients from the UK and beyond, Kirsten maintained a part-time role at the museum.
In 2017, she was invited to become part of The Repair Shop’s memorable cast, where she encountered her most notable client to date, King Charles III.

During a special episode commemorating the BBC’s centenary last year, the then-Prince of Wales brought in a Wemyss Ware vase for repair, which had been made for Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee but suffered damage after being knocked over when a window was opened, prompting Charles to quip that the culprit “didn’t own up”.
Upon witnessing Kirsten’s restoration of the vase, the Royal exclaimed: “It’s fantastic. I would never have believed that.”
He added, “I was thinking when I was coming, ‘I bet she hasn’t managed it,’ because it’s my favourite. I think it is utterly wonderful, I’m thrilled.”
