Sandoval County voters will vote for a new president, a United States senator and two representatives, several state representatives and senators and three county commissioners, among other local positions in the 2024 general election. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Nov. 5.
How can I register to vote?
You can register to vote or verify your registration is up-to-date by visiting nmvote.org. Same-day registration is available at every polling location.
When, where and how can I vote?
Early voting at the Sandoval County Clerk’s Office (1500 Idalia Rd., Bernalillo) began Oct. 8, continues Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Oct. 19. After that, early voting can also be done at the clerk’s office on Oct. 19, 26 and Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
There are several early voting and Election Day polling locations in Sandoval County, including the County Clerk’s Office. Polling locations will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Nov. 2. Secured ballot container drop boxes are also now available to use at Corrales Village Hall, the Placitas Community Library and the Sandoval County Administration Building. Early votes are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Nov. 2. On Election Day, the drop boxes will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- Sandoval County Administration Building.
- Rio West Business Center, Rio Rancho.
- Our Lady Queen of Angels, Rio Rancho.
- Community of Joy Lutheran Church, Rio Rancho.
- Sandia Pueblo Community Center.
- Broadmoor Senior Center, Rio Rancho.
- Sagebrush Plaza, Rio Rancho.
- El Zocalo/Salazar Building, Bernalillo.
- Santa Ana Pueblo Wellness Center.
- Placitas Community Library.
- San Felipe Pueblo Head Start.
- Zia Pueblo Community Center.

The option to request an absentee ballot is also available until Oct. 22. To request one, go to the New Mexico Secretary of State Voter Services website. All ballots must be returned to either the County Clerk’s Office or an election day polling location before 7 pm on Election Day. If you are mailing your ballot, plan accordingly.
