Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mansion has been swamped by tourists after his arrest last month.
The $39 million LA property has become a sightseeing point for some after he was charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution.
Diddy is currently being held at the notorious Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York and has vehemently denied all charges.
The rapper will stand trial next May and federal investigators have warned that the ongoing probe could result in additional charges.
The MDC will be a stark contrast in living arrangements to what Diddy is used to in his LA home – a 10-bedroom, 13-bathroom mega-mansion nestled in the opulent Holmby Hills area.
The glamorous neighbourhood is home to Kylie Jenner and the Playboy mansion, with iconic former residents in the area including Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor, and Marilyn Monroe. Tourists are now taking a lot of interest in Diddy’s home Hello! magazine reports, with tour operators noting an uptick in those wanting to see where the raid unfolded.
Last month, it was reported that Diddy was putting the 13,000-square-foot property on the market for $61.5 million – substantially more than the $39 million he paid back in 2014. The residence boasts an array of lavish features, including a bar, wine cellar, library, gym, an indoor sauna, and a pool, plus a “state-of-the-art theatre that can accommodate 35 people.”
As per the listing: “The stunning grounds feature beautiful lawns, mature trees, formal gardens, a resort-like swimming pool with waterfall and grotto, basketball court, spa house and an outdoor covered loggia with BBQ, bar, and pizza oven.”
As well as the main Colonial-style house, there’s a two-story guest house on the sprawling grounds, complete with a gym and recording studio. However, only ‘prequalified clients’ will get a viewing, keeping any nosy fans at bay.
In a statement made following Diddy’s arrest, his legal rep Erica Wolff said: “As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasised, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus.”
Speaking to TMZ, she added: “That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
