The Managing Director of Logunia Travels and Tours, Ms Ogugua Anobili, who spoke during a recent meeting of travel industry professionals in Lagos, described Logunia Travels and Tours role as a brand ambassador for Sarova Hotels, offering distinctive travel experiences focused on Kenya.
She stated that the company’s goal of inspiring travellers to explore Kenya’s rich cultural and natural heritage, while simultaneously boosting inbound and outbound tourism between Nigeria and Kenya. According to her, the bilateral exchange can play a significant role in advancing tourism growth across Africa and supporting sustainable development.
The collaboration, which spans two years, has already yielded positive results, with Sarova hotels serving as venues for various events, including Anobili’s personal celebrations. The recent AKWAABA Travel Expo, which witnessed participation from 70 African countries, including Gambia, Tanzania, Zambia, and Kenya, showcased the vast potential of cross-border tourism within the continent.
Ms Anobili acknowledged Nigeria’s growing tourism appeal, noting its safety, diverse transport options, and vibrant cultural scene. She urged Nigerians to focus on promoting the country’s unique tourism offerings rather than feeding into negative narratives that might deter visitors.
In a bid to further enhance the tourism exchange, Logunia is collaborating with Sarova Hotels to promote sports tourism, including golf and polo. Through Sarova’s efforts, Nigerian tourists will have the chance to explore Kenya’s scenic golf courses and sports facilities, creating memorable experiences for both enthusiasts and casual travellers alike.
Sarova Hotels and Resorts, represented by its Regional Sales Manager Steve Biko, commended Logunia’s Travel experts for their dedication to promoting the Sarova brand in Nigeria. Biko commended Sarova’s commitment to the Nigerian market, announcing plans to offer special airfare promotions, favourable hotel rates, and tailored experiences that cater to the preferences of Nigerian travellers.
