One Direction fans across the world are in mourning after it was revealed that Liam Payne had died yesterday while on holiday in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The band shot to fame on The X Factor back in 2010 and went on to become one of the world’s biggest boybands, with Liam, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik basking in all the glory.
As fans remember Liam and the legacy he has left behind, here’s a list of all of the films and documentaries made on the boys over the years and the order in which they were released.
One Direction: The Only Way Is Up (2012)
Following their success on The X Factor, this documentary was made on the group and tracked their rise to international superstars.
Simon Cowell’s right-hand woman Sinitta hosted the unofficial documentary which explored what made the boys a chart topping success. A whole host of famous famous were interviewed about them, including Kelly Rowland, Simon Cowell, Zac Efron and Piers Morgan.

One Direction: This Is Us (2013)
The feature-length documentary film released in 2013 and followed the boys on their Take Me Home tour at London’s O2 Arena.
As well as live footage from the concert, it also featured content of their lives pre and post fame, from childhood to coming straight off of The X Factor.
It had a grand premiere in Leicester Square and became a box office, garnering $68.5 million worlwide from a budget of $10 million.

Directed by Thomas Gibson, this documentary again followed the overnight success the boys were able to achieve, from competing each week on The X Factor to recording their albums.
Music industry experts are interviewed on why they think Liam, Niall, Harry, Louis and Zayn were able to make it big over their competitors. The hour-long documentary film also features interview excerpts from the boys themselves as well as clips from their time on the ITV show.

One Direction: Where We Are – The Concert Film (2014)
The follow up to This Is Us, Where We Are is the second concert film from the boys and takes place during the 28 and 29 June 2014 shows of the band’s Where We Are tour in Milan, Italy.
The 2014 sequel contains an exclusive 15-minute interview with the band as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the tour.
