BusyBee Events, the organiser of the BusyBee Event Business Summit, has unveiled the itinerary and theme for the eighth edition of the summit, which is scheduled to hold in Lagos from November 26 to 28, 2024.
With the theme— The Forward-Thinking Event Professional: Innovation Meets Imagination— the three-day summit is dedicated to innovation, strategic thinking, and future-focused approaches in the event industry.
A statement sent to Society Plus stated that the three-day event will encompass activities such as cocktail, masterclass and dinner/awards night.
Speaking on the event plan, the convener of the summit, Bisi Sotunde, said, “This year’s theme emphasises the event industry’s need for innovation and strategic foresight. We aim to inspire professionals to adopt forward-thinking approaches, embrace new technologies and anticipate future trends.”
She added that the dinner/awards night, which is themed ‘African Royalty’, will celebrate African culture while recognising industry achievements.
On her part, the head of corporate sponsorship for the event, Adeola Sessi-Traore, called for partnerships with organisations and brands to bring the summit to life.
“We are inviting organisations and brands to join us in shaping this year’s summit through the following avenues— funding the summit, product and branded item contributions, brand exposure and networking opportunities.
“We are giving organisations the opportunity to partner with us by supporting the summit financially. Brands will receive prime recognition throughout the event. By providing branded items or products for gift bags or event giveaways to ensure brand’s visibility among attendees,” she said.
Some of the speakers and panellists expected at the event are Bryan Mensah of White Chalk Global based in Accra, Ghana; Funke Bucknor-Obruthe of Zapphaire Events, Bisola Borha of TrendyBee Events, Mosun Akinwamide of IPC Events.
