Julianne Moore looked sensational as she attended the premiere of her movie The Room Next Door at the Royal Festival Hall amid the London Film Festival on Saturday.
The Oscar winner, 63, was the epitome of elegance as she slipped into a gorgeous cream gown that hugged every inch of her slender figure.
Julianne’s dress boasted quirky pleating and bejewelled embellishments, opting to go without a necklace and letting the look speak for itself.
The actress wore her glossy red tresses loose and accentuated her age-defying features with a glamorous make-up palette.
Julianne attend the premiere without co-star Tilda Swinton, 63, but beamed as she cosied up to film’s director Pedro Almodovar, 75.
Tilda leads the cast as Martha alongside Julianne as Ingrid in the drama comedy which aslso stars acting legend and filmmaker John Turturro, Face/Off star Alessandro Nivola, Esther McGregor, Alex Høgh Andersen, and Alvise Rigo.
The film deals with the rift between Martha (Tilda), a very imperfect mother and war correspondent, and her resentful daughter, as well as with the former’s relationship with author Ingrid (Julianne).
A native of Calzada de Calatrava, Spain, Almodóvar’s many directorial credits include the Festival selections Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown (1988), Talk To Her (2002), Bad Education (2004), Volver (2006), Broken Embraces (2009), Julieta (2016), and Pain and Glory (2019).
In 2023, he received the Impact Media Award, which recognises leadership in creating a union between social impact and cinema, at the TIFF Tribute Awards.
Julianne and Tilda have been busy promoting the new film as they jet across the world.
Last month they were seen at the San Sebastian International Film Festival before previously promoting the film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Elsewhere Pedro the Golden Lion Award at the 81st Venice International Film Festival last month at Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy, Variety reports.
This is actually the filmmaker’s second Golden Lion Award, which follows the honorary one he received in 2019.
The two-time Academy Award winner thanked both Tilda and Julianne during his largely Spanish-language acceptance speech.
‘This is my first movie in English but the spirit is Spanish,’ the director revealed during that passionate speech.
The Room Next Door is then scheduled to be released theatrically in Spain on October 18.
