Check out new Mr Men Little Missy books
Get your hands on Little Miss Surprise and Mr Fib, the latest titles to the Mr Men Little Missy children’s book series.
They are English author and illustrator Adam Hargreaves’ 15th and 16th additions to the enduring series, conceived by his father Roger Hargreaves in 1971.
Before he died at age 53 in 1988 following a stroke, he had created some 85 characters who are named after the emotion or behaviour they embody.
He started with Mr Tickle, a little orange man with a blue hat and arms of incredible length, after the younger Hargreaves asked what a tickle looked like.
“It’s always fun creating new characters to add to the series, although I’ve got a way to go to catch up with my dad,” Adam Hargreaves says in a statement.
“A Mr Fib has been rattling around in my imagination for a long while, and Little Miss Surprise, of course, popped into my head right out of the blue.”
The new books continue to be published in the series’ signature small square style.
In the story of Mr Fib, your child will find out that he is the smartest, strongest and funniest Mr Men of all – well, so he says. He lies to impress people and, one day, he goes too far and his friends are upset. Can Mr Fib learn to tell the truth?
Meanwhile, Little Miss Surprise will put a smile on your kid’s face with her unpredictability. But is Mr Quiet ready for one of her surprising days out?
Buy the books for $9.10 each at Books Kinokuniya.
