LAE Biscuit Company Brand Ambassador Alex Johnston has donated his newly published book titled ‘A footy tail’ to the Buk Bilong Pikinini Library.
The injured PNG Kumul fullback and South Sydney Rabbitohs winger took the grand opportunity to read his book to the children, while urging them to stay in school and read more books because it will help them succeed in their future endeavors
“I want to win in games and school as well so I do everything in my absolute best,” Johnston said.
Lae’s Buk Bilong Pikinini school head teacher Ruth Malum acknowledge Johnston’s visit and his donation towards the school library,
She said the students were excited of his gesture and very fortunate to meet the NRL star.
“He is an inspiration to the children, and I’m sure they will adhere to his advice,” Malum said.
Johnston also expressed his love for being the brand ambassador for Lae Biscuit Company, especially his job in giving back to the community through projects, such as donating his written books to children and representing PNG in sports. He said he looks forward to write another children’s book about the PNG Kumuls, and will be donating more books in the future to children’s libraries.
