Editor’s note. There are nearly 2 kids in every classroom who have a food allergy. Providing early awareness may help reduce the number of life threatening emergencies and emergency department visits, for them, and their friends and relatives.
Chris and Nicole Blongiewicz bring a fun, interactive way to provide awareness to those with, and without allergic reactions in “Frederick the Paramedic.”
By Chris Blongiewicz and Nicole Blongiewicz
Frederick the Paramedic is a children’s book dedicated to preventing unnecessary emergency department visits by providing awareness about common childhood emergencies. We take a unique approach to our story telling by getting your reader involved in the book through partnering with Frederick the paramedic. Your junior paramedic will learn first-hand about the equipment used, what signs/symptoms to look for, different treatments, and what they can do to help.
In this response, Emma is having an allergic reaction after accidentally eating a peanut butter cookie at a birthday party! Frederick the paramedic is ready to respond, but he needs a partner – will your junior paramedic step up to help Frederick and Emma?
