CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Habitat for Humanity and St. John’s United Church of Christ have partnered again to host a used book sale to benefit Habitat’s housing ministry.
More than 30,000 books, puzzles, games, music and more were donated by the community. Donations for the sale are now closed.
The sale will take place at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1811 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg on Friday, Oct. 25, from 2 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 27, from noon to 4 p.m.
This is a volunteer-led initiative, and all proceeds will be used to help build the next Habitat house in Franklin County.
Habitat Director of Advancement Mark Story says, “Following the success of our previous sales we are pleased to provide this opportunity to the community again. We especially thank the leadership at St. John’s Church for the sale space, BCM Payroll Services for their generous sponsorship, and The Butcher Shoppe for donating bags.”
