Yes, 14 Ring movies. Japanese, American, and Korean adaptations, sequels, and remakes of the original novel boost this number. There is so much more content than you think: TV shows, short films, manga, video games, etc. Sadako is definitely happy about how many copies of her story have been made. She also had the free time to face off with Kayaka from The Grudge, and it’s about as unhinged as you expect. The American remake is an all-time classic with excellent pacing and atmosphere to complement the unfolding mystery, but Sadako in the Japanese movie is genuinely eerie.
