Minister of Culture, & Tourism directs referral of five financial custodians for investigation

The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Dr. Ali Al-Yafai, has directed the legal affairs to refer five financial custodians who received financial amounts through official receipts and did not deposit them into the state’s accounts for investigation and to transfer them to the Public Funds Prosecution.
Minister Al-Yafai confirmed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the ministry is working to complete the legal procedures to monitor tourism offices in the remaining governorates to ensure the deposit of the financial amounts owed; otherwise, legal actions will be taken against them to protect public funds.
He pointed out that he would not tolerate any corruption or malfunction, no matter what, emphasizing that this reflected the directives of the revolution leader the political leadership and the government of change and construction.
He clarified that this action came after delays and refusal to return them, emphasizing the importance of recovering and preserving public funds. The ministry will not tolerate issues related to public money, and any violators will be referred to the Public Funds Prosecution and the Anti-Corruption Authority.
Al-Yafi urged those concerned to report any violations to the relevant authorities promptly, stressing the collection of the ministry’s revenues from tourist establishments and referring non-compliant entities to the Public Funds Prosecution.
He also urged oversight, monitoring, and legal affairs to create a matrix of related cases.
