In a spectacular and serene ambience at the Osu Castle Gardens on Friday, October 25, 2024, the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) held its tourism awards to present awards to distinguished personalities and institutions in the Tourism and Hospitality value chain.
Present at the ceremony were the Minister of Tourism Arts & Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer and his Deputy, Mark Okraku Mantey, the board chairman and board members of GTA, the CEO of GTA, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman and his two deputies.
The DCEO, Operations Ekow Sampson and Mr. Ben Anane Nsiah, DCEO General services, the Diplomatic community, Heads of institutions, Directors and staff of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and its agencies, industry practitioners among others were also present at the ceremony.
The Chairperson for the occasion was Florence Oboshie Sai Cofie, while the Guest of Honour was Togbe Dr. Crystal- Dzirackor, Group Chair, Crystal TV Group.
In all 36 awards were presented to personalities who have distinguished themselves in the promotion of the tourism industry in Ghana. The awards include 26 competitive awards, 8 honorary awards and 2 special awards.
