Lokesh Kanagraj’s hit film Kaithi, starring Karthi in the lead roles, hit the big screens on October 25, 2019. The movie marked the first film in the director’s famed LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). The universe expanded with Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram in 2022 and Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo in 2023. On Kaithi‘s 5 anniversary, Loki confirmed that Karthi will soon return as Dilli in Kaithi 2. Fans were super thrilled with the director officially confirming the news, and just a day later, fans were blessed with another major update. On Saturday ( October 26), the makers of Suriya’s upcoming film, Kanguva, hosted an audio launch event at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. At the grand event, his younger brother Karthi was also present. While interacting with the crowd, Karthi shared a major update regarding the upcoming film. Speaking about his brother Suriya, Karthi revealed that Suriya would be returning as Rolex in Kaithi 2, which left the audience excited. It will be interesting to see the brothers go against each other on screen.
