Netflix’s most recent Christmas romcom will make even the coldest nights steamy.
The streamer releases a variety of Christmas movies every year. A new one set to debut this December is Our Little Secret, which stars Lindsay Lohan.
Now, another of the former Mean Girls cast will be taking the lead in a winter movie. If you’re tired of watching Love Actually another year in a row, check out these new Christmas movies.
The new film is called Hot Frosty, and it stars Lacey Chabert, who has been in a number of Christmas movies after Mean Girls. According to Netflix’s Tudum, Kathy, played by Chabert, is going through overwhelming grief.
The description reads: “Two years after losing her husband, Kathy magically brings a handsome snowman to life! Through his naivete, the snowman helps Kathy to laugh, feel, and love again, as the two fall for each other just in time for the holidays … and before he melts.”

The snowman is named Jack, played by Dustin Milligan from Schitt’s Creek. While the plot seems silly, there’s a meaningful message in the film as well.
Chabert told Tudum: ““It’s really funny and light and lovely. But there is also a throughline of a lot of heart, and all of these characters are kind of going through something — whether it’s something more comedic or something more deeply emotionally rooted.
“I think this movie has a very special tone to it.”
Along with Milligan and Chabert, the movie stars Craig Robinson, Joe Lo Truglio, Katy Mixon, Lauren Holly, and Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause.
The movie will be available on Nov. 13. It comes at the same time as other Netflix holiday films, Our Little Secret, Meet Me Next Christmas, and The Merry Gentleman.
