In order to promote women entrepreneurship, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched a competition encouraging aspiring women entrepreneurs to showcase innovative ideas.
The ideas would be submitted through a dedicated form which will be circulated through SBP social media channels and website; the last date for submission of ideas is November 10, 2024.
The top 3 winners will be recognized at the main ceremony and they will have the opportunity to showcase their ideas on a bigger stage.
The aspirants can submit their business ideas via a dedicated form available at this link; the competition details can also be accessed through SBP social media channels i.e. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Women of Impact Awards
The following categories of awards will be given to recognize the achievements of women entrepreneurs:
- Innovative Leader Award
- Social Impact Award
- Sustainability Champion Award
- Resilience Award Two Awards will be given under each category
The Women Entrepreneurship Day celebrations on November 19, 2024, will take place nationwide, with events hosted across 16 SBP BSC field offices. In addition, banks will organize a series of events and ceremonies throughout the week leading up to November 19, making it a week-long celebration of women’s entrepreneurial achievements.
Banks are urged to provide maximum financing to women entrepreneurs from July 1, 2024, until November 10, 2024. The top three banks with the highest financing nationwide will be honored during the main ceremony in Karachi, while the top three regional lenders will be recognized at ceremonies held at BSC field offices.
