Milwaukee – The holiday season officially begins Friday, Nov. 1, at 8 a.m. when the 2024 We Energies Cookie Book will be available online.
The 2024 We Energies Cookie Book celebrates childhood memories with 37 recipes from home bakers from around the state.
Lorelei Hardt, a 12-year-old from Oconomowoc, is the visionary behind the Choco-Butterscotch Potato Chip Cookie found on Page 11 of this year’s We Energies Cookie Book.
“Last year, while my mom was baking her traditional cookies, I created this one all on my own. I’m 12 years old, and this cookie has my three favorite things: chocolate, potato chips and butterscotch. I love the sweet and salty together,” said Lorelei.
This year’s Cookie Book offers a delightful treat for everyone, ranging from classic sugar cookies, like Grandma Valeria’s Christmas Sugar Cookies, to the innovative Orange Dreamsicle Cookies. With its collection of recipes, this book may take you on a nostalgic journey back to your childhood, when you eagerly anticipated a plate of freshly baked cookies.
In addition to the online version, you can pick up your free copy Saturday, Nov. 2, at American Family Field in Milwaukee or Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton. The Cookie Book also will be available at distribution events across the state through November. Details on all of the events are available at www.we-energies.com/recipes
