MURFREESBORO, Tenn. –The Middle Tennessee women’s soccer team (7-9-0, 4-4-0 CUSA) closes out its regular season slate for the 2024 campaign tomorrow in a primetime, senior night matchup against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (2-9-5, 0-6-2 CUSA) at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium at 7 P.M.
History vs. Louisiana Tech
Middle Tennessee is 1-5-1 against Louisiana Tech in program history. Last season, the Blue Raiders fell in a 2-0 result in Ruston. MTSU’s lone win against the Bulldogs came during the 2014 season in a 1-0 win on the road.

The Blue Raiders enter the final matchweek of the regular season with a 4-4 record in conference play. Middle Tennessee remains in control of the fifth seed in the Conference USA table with only Friday’s fixture remaining on the schedule prior to the start of the conference tournament on Nov. 4 in Miami, Fla.
MTSU fell to Liberty in heartbreaking fashion in last week’s fixture in a 2-1 result in Lynchburg, Va., the team’s second consecutive 2-1 loss in as many weeks. The Blue Raiders held Liberty to a 1-1 scoreline on their home field late into the match, but conceded Halle Engle’s second goal of the game in the 82nd minute.
The Blue Raiders will look to end the 2024 regular season in the win column before heading off to Miami for next week’s conference tournament.

Louisiana Tech enters the final week of the regular season at the bottom of the Conference USA table with a 2-9-5 overall record. The Bulldogs have yet to record a conference win thus far in 2024, collecting just two points in a pair of draws against Western Kentucky and Kennesaw State.
