Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan develop unified standards in hotel industry – Vice Minister of Tourism of Kazakhstan
AKIPRESS.COM – Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are developing unified standards in the hotel industry, Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev said on October 31.
“We are currently developing one program with Kyrgyzstan on standards in the hotel industry,” Yerkinbayev said.
The Vice Minister added that the two countries are striving to expand the possibilities of ski tourism and use the services of the same consultants. According to Yerkinbayev, many clients of Kazakhstani ski resorts also go skiing in Kyrgyzstan.
The countries have chosen different paths for developing ski resorts, the Vice Minister stated. Kyrgyzstan is building new resorts with hundreds of kilometers of trails, while Kazakhstan has decided to primarily unite the existing ski resorts, which is less expensive.
During the briefing, Yerkinbayev presented data on the growth of foreign tourists arriving in Kazakhstan, announced a list of the largest resorts and investment tourism projects.
