Attend The Harvest Festival this weekend
Head on down to New Roads this weekend, Friday, Nov. 1, to Sunday, Nov. 3, for The Harvest Festival.
The Harvest Festival offers a family-friendly atmosphere filled with food, rides and attractions all while supporting the local agriculture community. Live bands will perform throughout the weekend, and the carnival will also be open all weekend.
The music lineup and carnival hours vary by day. Attendees over the age of 15 can purchase tickets for $10 per day. Weekend passes are $20 per person. The Harvest Festival takes place on Main Street in New Roads. Parking can be found at the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board office at 337 Napoleon St. and along side streets. Head over to The Queen Baton Rouge on Friday, Nov. 1, to see Shaun Ward presents: The DJ vs. The Violinist.
Enjoy this high-octane show as you sit back on plush chairs and couches. Throughout the event, 1717 Kitchen + Cocktails will serve up bites and craft cocktails for purchase.

Visit downtown Baton Rouge for the Louisiana Book Festival all day Saturday, Nov. 2.
Meet a plethora of writers, find new books to read and engage in thought-provoking presentations and discussions. The annual event is the perfect opportunity to get one of your favorite books signed or find an undiscovered treasure to add to your bookshelf.

Start an early pregame for the Tigers on Saturday
Prepare to rush the field at Walk-On’s for the Beat Bama Glow Party & Car Show on Saturday, Nov. 2.
Wear your neon attire to be lit up under the black lighting as you listen to live music. Live music performers include DJ Dylan Wayne, the Lauren Lee Band, the Chase Tyler Band and the Kings of Neon. A car show will be hosted by Southern Muscle – American Car & Truck Club.

Visit the LSU Museum of Art on Sunday, Nov. 3, for Access for All Day: Printmaking & Panel Discussion.
Get the opportunity to learn about different printmaking styles and create your own original print to take home with you after this event.

Attend the Cap City Beer Fest on Sunday
Head over to downtown Baton Rouge on Sunday, Nov. 3, for the Cap City Beer Fest in support of Companion Animal Alliance.
Guests can sample unlimited brews and snack on food from a selection of vendors and food trucks. If you’re not much of a beer drinker, there will be seltzers, meads, kombuchas and non-alcoholic drinks available. Lawn games will be available for play, such as Jenga Giant and cornhole, plus there will be live music. Furry friends are welcome, but they must be kept on a leash.
Cap City Beer Fest is from 2-5 p.m. This event is free to enter, but tickets must be purchased for those 21 and up who wish to participate in the brew sampling. StoryCorps is partnering with WRKF Baton Rouge Public Radio to bring its mobile tour to Baton Rouge from Sunday, Nov. 3, to Sunday, Nov. 10.
Recordings will take place in person at the Main Library at Goodwood or remotely through StoryCorps’ Virtual Recording Booth. Interview a loved one, share your personal or family history, or honor the people who have inspired you.
