Emmy-winning actress Zendaya has been seen in Boston while reportedly filming a new movie in the city.
The 28-year-old is set to star a romance new movie called “The Drama” alongside “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson.
Plans for “The Drama” were revealed in August, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.
The upcoming film is being directed by Kristoffer Borgli (“Dream Scenario”) and produced by Ari Aster (“Midsommar,” “Hereditary”). Production on the film started on Oct. 22, according to IMBd Pro.
A24, the film’s production company, was unable to provide exact filming locations for “The Drama” because they are confidential, the company told MassLive.
However, Zendaya has been spotted at several locations around Boston, according to several videos on social media.
One TikTok with the caption, “Zendaya blending in with the locals in beacon hill,” captured the “Dune” actress having a pastry at the Tatte on Beacon Hill. Another clip from inside the same Tatte showed Zendaya standing outside.
The “Euphoria” actress was also seen on Harvard University’s campus in Cambridge, according to two other TikToks.
Another video also captured Pattinson leaving a building on Harvard’s campus. The 38-year-old actor was said to have been spotted on Wednesday, Oct. 30, Just Jared reported.
This was not the first time Zendaya has been to Boston.
She, along with her “Spider-Man” co-star and boyfriend Tom Holland, were spotted together at the Tatte on Boylston Street, right across from Boston Common, in 2022. Zendaya was in town to shoot the film, “Challengers,” which Boston.com reported at the time.
The actress was also seen admiring pottery from a vendor on Newbury Street earlier in October.
“So blessed to have said my artwork has been admired by the Zendaya,” an Oct. 15 Instagram post from @potterypaintedbymags reads.
“As she was looking at the table with 30 different artists and multiple varying pieces, she picked up the mug I had painted,‘ the post reads. ”Even though it was not purchased I am so forever grateful and deeply touched as a young growing artist, thank you @zendaya.”
