Sydney Sweeney is making bank in Hollywood.
The 27-year-old actress, who got her big break by starring as Cassie Howard on the hit HBO series Euphoria, has been snagging starring roles left and right in Hollywood films — earning her millions (and millions) of dollars.
According to TMZ, the starlet is getting paid a $7.5 million salary for her leading role in Lionsgate’s upcoming movie adaptation of the psychological thriller novel The Housemaid. Sweeney will star alongside Mamma Mia actress Amanda Seyfried, whose salary for the project is yet to be reported.
While The Housemaid is set to be Sweeney’s highest salary thus far, she has still made significant money from prior films. The Handmaid’s Tale alum scored $2 million for her role in Sony Pictures’ 2023 romantic comedy Anyone But You. She received an additional $250,000 for the project as she also worked behind the camera as an executive producer. Sweeney’s co-star Glenn Powell edged her out salary-wise, bringing home around $5 million from the movie, per Variety.
Sweeney did crack a million on any of her other projects.
Despite being a failure at the box office, Sweeney was paid $750,000 for her part in Sony’s superhero flick Madame Web, starring Dakota Johnson, which came out earlier this year — Jonhson’s salary was not made public.
According to the outlet, Sweeney got $250,000 for the 2024 horror film Immaculate, a passion project for the actress, who also produced the film. The Washington native — who also made waves in season one of White Lotus — nabbed $65,000 for starring in HBO’s 2023 crime drama Reality.
Sweeney is seemingly on par salary-wise with her Euphoria co-star, Zendaya, who reportedly took home $10 million for Challengers, $2 million for Dune 2, and the same for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Sweeney is clearly on a roll as both an actress and producer, as she started filming for a new untitled biopic about former professional boxer Christy Martin — and is also listed as a producer for the film. Sweeney is also on her creepy beat, as she will star in an upcoming Apple TV + thriller, Echo Valley. While the salary for her two upcoming projects has yet to be revealed, it’s clear she’ll be making a pretty penny off of Hollywood for a long time to come.
