LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln woman accused of making unauthorized purchases totaling over $135,000 with two business credit cards turned herself in to authorities Thursday.
Tiffany Isley, 54, is charged with theft by unlawful taking of $5,000 or more.
Isley was employed as a secretary at Pat Thomas Construction in Lincoln. As part of her employment, she was given a credit card under her name to purchase office supplies and work related items.
According to an arrest affidavit, an accounting firm that processed the business‘s 2023 taxes discovered concerning spending patterns on Isley’s credit card. Isley is accused of using the company card for unauthorized purchases and then depositing $9,000 into the business’s account.
A detailed review of the records revealed that Isley made 1,738 unauthorized purchases with two company cards between July 25, 2022, and July 14, 2024, totaling $135,649.41, court documents show.
Isley turned herself in Thursday morning at Lancaster County Corrections. She was arraigned and had her bond set at 10% of $5,000.
She will be back in Lancaster County Court for a hearing on Dec. 12 at 9 a.m.
