Pune, 1st November 2024: The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has launched the MTDC Resorts Destination Tourist Guide Program for the 2024-25 period. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications, along with a passport-size photograph and necessary documents, to [email protected] before 15th November 2024. The initiative aims to enhance the tourist experience at MTDC resorts while providing skill development and employment opportunities for local youth. Deepak Harne, Regional Manager of MTDC, has urged interested applicants to register as soon as possible to take advantage of the training program.
Eligible candidates must be local residents between the ages of 21 and 35, with a minimum educational qualification of having passed Class 8, SSC, or HSC. They should be proficient in writing and speaking Marathi, Hindi, English, or any foreign language. After successfully completing the training, participants will receive a certificate and an identity card from MTDC.
The duration and location of the training will be communicated post-selection. The MTDC Resort Guide may be required to work additional hours or handle extra responsibilities, including travel, depending on the demands of the role. Shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview date and time via email and phone. Verification of educational qualifications, domicile, age, and identity will take place at the time of the interview. Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate and undergo police verification. It is important to note that MTDC will not provide any remuneration for this program.
