Stockport-based padel operator Soul Padel has entered a partnership with a sports nutrition business which recently completed its IPO for £350m.
Applied Nutrition will become Soul Padel’s official hydration and nutrition partner in a move which will fuel the group’s ambitious growth plans.
The collaboration will also focus on supporting Soul Padel’s efforts within the educational sector, including partnerships with universities and schools.
Mark Hewlett, founder of Soul Padel, said: “As two local businesses with our origins in the North West, we are aligned on our mission to improve access to sport and create a healthier nation.
“Soul Padel has ambitious growth plans, and having the support of Applied Nutrition as our hydration and nutrition partner is extremely encouraging.
“Padel’s growth will continue in the UK, and more and more people can now benefit from appropriate products to support their game and boost their overall health and wellbeing.”
Tom Ryder, chief executive of Applied Nutrition, added: “As an emerging sport, padel presents an exciting new market for Applied Nutrition, and we’ve been impressed by Soul Padel’s ambitious growth plans and commitment to the sport’s long-term success in both the UK and Australia.”
