Amaran, the biographical action-war film directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, has been receiving excellent reviews from both audiences and critics. The movie, which stars Sivakarthikeyan as the central character, Major Mukund Varadarajan, is on its way to becoming a blockbuster. Sai Pallavi played the female lead in the film, bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s home banner RKFI and Sony Pictures India. Interestingly, Amaran has now highly impressed Rajinikanth, the legendary superstar of Tamil cinema.

Recently, the Amaran team members, including leading man Sivakarthikeyan and director Rajkumar Periyasamy, met Rajinikanth, at the legendary superstar’s Chennai residence. As per the reports, the Vettaiyan actor watched the film at a private screening at his home and immediately expressed his desire to meet the team. The veteran actor, who loved the film, heaped praise on the Amaran team members in person, and congratulated producer Kamal Haasan, over a phone call.
Sivakarthikeyan, who is overwhelmed by Rajinikanth’s lovely gesture, took to his official social media handles and shared a special video, thanking the Thalaivar. “I’m extremely happy with the appreciation from Superstar @rajinikanth sir for Amaran. Sitting with him as he admired every nuance of the film was truly unforgettable for me and the team. Thank you Thalaiva for your constant support and encouragement!” read the Amaran actor’s X (formerly Twitter) post. The actor and team’s pictures with the Coolie star are now going viral on social media.

As per the latest updates, Amaran has made a total worldwide collection of over Rs 68.66 crore. The domestic (All India) collection of the Sivakarthikeyan starrer reportedly is at around Rs 41 crore. If things proceed at the same rate, the Rajkumar Periyasamy directorial has all the chances of crossing the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office, today (Day 3). In that case, the movie might enter the Rs 150 crore club by the end of its first weekend at the box office.
