Sierra opens Nov. 9 in Helena
Sierra, the multichannel off-price retailer that offers active and outdoor brands, will open a new store in Helena on Nov. 9 in Skyway Regional Shopping Center, 2027 Cromwell Dixon Lane.
Sierra will have a grand opening celebration at 8 a.m., including music from a local DJ, lucky ticket and Sierra branded giveaways, and more. Helena residents can shop Sierra’s essentials in apparel, footwear, gear, and home décor.
To celebrate its arrival in Helena, Sierra said it has made a $10,000 donation to nonprofit organization Helena Food Share.
The donation will support the organization’s mission to eliminate hunger in the Helena community by providing access to food for those in need through food distribution, education, and collaboration with local partners to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The 20,000-square-foot store marks the second location in the state following Sierra’s arrival in Billings last year. Kt is located in the former Bed, Bath & Beyond building.
As part of the TJ Maxx Family of Brands, Sierra offers top active and outdoor brands of apparel, footwear and gear for the family at savings up to 60% less than department and specialty store prices.
“We are thrilled to be opening a new store in Helena and bringing Sierra’s off-price shopping experience to local residents,” Caitlin Kobelski, vice president and Sierra marketing director, said in a news release.

Medical association has new officers
The Montana Medical Association said Thursday its board of trustees has selected a new slate of officers to lead the Association through September, with Dr.. Ernest “Joe” Gray, a family medicine physician in Browning, taking the helm as president.
MMA Chief Executive Officer Jean Branscum said Gray “and these exceptional physician leaders bring a vast wealth of knowledge and experience to the MMA, which will lead the association through the crucial year of promoting patient-centered health policies, advancing innovative clinical initiatives, and making health care healthier through relevant medical education and well-being programs.”
The new organization leaders were elected during the 146th MMA Annual Meeting on Sept. 28. Gray takes the place of Dr. Sarah Morgan.
Additional leaders serving 2024-2025 terms on the MMA Executive Committee include:

Gray, the new leaders of the MMA and the board were honored by members of the Blackfeet Nation with a series of traditional honor songs.
