Work is advaning steadily at the Lungomare 3 construction site in Vlorë-Orikum. This pivotal investment aims to enhance quality tourism in Vlorë.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the ongoing construction on social media today.
“Lungomare 3 in Vlorë, along the Radhimë axis, includes the construction of embankments designed to widen the beaches by redirecting water waves. A pedestrian promenade is also being built alongside the road, and a bypass is being established over the section with hotels and restaurants in Radhimë, transforming the current roadway into a tourist-friendly pedestrian zone,” Rama noted.
He emphasized that “this strategic investment expands the opportunities for quality tourism in Vlorë and lays the groundwork for Lungomare 4 in the Orikum area, positioning Vlorë as the coastal city with the longest promenade in the Mediterranean.”
This project is funded by the EBRD as part of a tourism development program and involves a qualitative transformation of public spaces, which will include planting trees and creating zones for pedestrians and cyclists, ultimately providing a revitalized experience for Vlorë’s tourism sector.
