In today’s era of OTT and visually rich content, audiences have now heightened expectations from their favourite stars and films. Movies like Baahubali, KGF Franchise, Jodha Akbar have set high standards by delivering a high-scale spectacle. This year, however, one film is expected to break all records set by previous Indian big-budget blockbusters.
We’re talking about Suriya Sivakumar’s upcoming pan-India actioner Kanguva. Mounted on an enormous scale, it will release in over 30 languages. Another standout feature of this film is its never seen before war sequence, that can beat Jr NTR’s Devara Part One, or Prabhas 2898 AD or Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again.
Helmed by Siva, Kanguva stars Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. Made under the budget of Rs 350 crore, some of the film’s sequences were shot in Chennai, Pondicherry, Kerala and Bangkok. According to the sources, Kanguva has the biggest action sequence, featuring more than 10,000 people. Sources said, “The makers, Studio Green, along with director Siva and the entire team, have worked on every aspect of the war sequences to do justice to the theme and subject. The film has the biggest war sequence, featuring Suriya, Bobby Deol, and more than 10,000 people. Right from the action, stunts, and visualisation of the entire war episodes, everything is being done under international expertise with an aim to deliver cinematic grandeur.” Moreover, the action, stunts and visualisation were done under international expert’s guidance.
Kanguva promises a raw, rustic and new visual experience to the audience. This pan-India film is generating buzz ahead of its Novemeber 14, 2024 release, with early reviews praising the film’s grandeur and Suriya’s powerful performance.
