PESHAWAR: Advisor on Finance Muzammil Aslam on Wednesday said that the Ehsaas Loan Scheme would create new business opportunities and job opportunities in the province.
“We are getting the support of Akhuwat organisation in providing Ehsaas Loan Scheme to the public,” he told a meeting about the interest free loan scheme.Minister for Housing Dr Amjad Ali, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Technical Education and Vocational Training Tufail Anjum and Secretary Zakat Nazar Hussain Shah and other relevant stakeholders attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that under the interest-free Ehsaas loan scheme, loans will be provided for up to five years. The interest-free loans will be given for small business and house building purposes.
Muzmal Aslam said that they were starting the interest-free loan scheme of Rs 1 billion in the first phase. He added that under the interest-free Ehsaas loan scheme, a loan of up to Rs .5 million will be given in the first year.
Muzamil Aslam remarked that all the stakeholders should complete their memorandum of understanding for the Ehsaas Loan Scheme by this month as the Ehsaas Loan Scheme is the first and best project of its kind in Pakistan.
