That was the theme for finals-bound Fremantle’s players as they arrived at training on Thursday to ramp up preparations for this weekend’s post-season opener.
The Dockers were decked out in business attire, with jackets, ties and briefcases the order of the day ahead of Saturday’s home elimination final clash with Essendon.
It came as Sarah Verrier promised to “come out firing” in the heat of finals battle as Freo pledged to look no further than ticking off their first assignment in the post-season – and leaving others to dare to dream of a fairytale ‘Flagmantle’ finish.
“I think we’re just focusing on one week at a time at the moment,” Verrier said.
“We’re really strong, contested team, so I think we just pride ourselves on our roles and what we can do during game day.
“We’ll come out firing on the weekend.”
The Dockers enter the opening round of finals fixtures as the shortest-priced favourite across any of the four matches, with Freo considered a $1.36 prospect to see off the Bombers.
A win would give the club just their third finals victory – and their first under coach Lisa Webb – in their ninth season of existence.
