Aspiring entrepreneurs in Onslow County have a chance to bring their business ideas to life with the return of the “Pitch It!” Onslow competition this fall. The event, which has seen participation from more than 50 contestants to date, offers startup funds from Marine Federal Credit Union to those looking to open new businesses in the area.
April Priester from Coastal Carolina Community College said, “What they really need is a desire to create a business in Onslow County and that drive and determination to make it successful. We teach them through the program the skills that they need and the how-to to walk them through the process.”
Trisha Scott of Marine Federal Credit Union outlined the prizes, stating, “There will be three winners. First place is $8,500, second place is $4,500, and third place is $2,500.” In addition to the cash prizes, winners will receive professional advice and assistance with branding.
The deadline to sign up for the competition is December 9, with winners set to be announced next May. For more information and to register, visit: https://filerequestpro.com/up/pitch-it-onslow-2025
