The Falls Theatre, is hosting a Salute to Minnesota Veterans Film Festival in Little Falls on Veterans Day.
The Minnesota Military & Veterans Museum, along with Lakeland Public Television, Pioneer Public Television and The Falls Theatre is hosting its first-ever Salute to Minnesota Veterans Film Festival on Monday, Nov. 11.
The film festival, according to a release, will showcase short films that celebrate Minnesota veterans’ stories, offering a meaningful and entertaining way for the community to connect with and honor those who have served. It’s free, open to all ages, and set in the restored Falls Theatre at 117 First St. SE in Little Falls.
“This inaugural veteran film festival in Minnesota offers a unique opportunity for our community to engage with and better understand the experiences of those who have served,” Randal Dietrich,executive director of the Minnesota Military & Veterans Museum said in a release. “These special screenings will help us remember these impactful stories while honoring the sacrifices and legacies of our heroes for future generations.”
Showings will be held throughout the afternoon on Veterans Day at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The historic Little Falls theater is a restored 1933 Art Deco movie theater that provides a unique and fitting setting for the Museum’s film series debut.
“We are thrilled to host this film festival in honor of our local veterans and to collaborate with theMinnesota Military & Veterans Museum, along with Lakeland Public Television and Pioneer PublicTelevision,” Hailey Vogl, manager of The Falls Theatre said in a release. “Film and video are powerful mediums for preserving and sharing the stories of those who have served, helping to ensure that their sacrifices are remembered for generations to come.”
