SHARJAH: Oman’s pavilion at the Sharjah International Book Fair, which runs until November 17, features a wide array of publications that highlight the nation’s vibrant literary, historical, and scientific traditions. From novels and poetry to historical treatises and scientific works, Oman’s display offers visitors a unique look into the country’s intellectual and artistic output.
In addition to enhancing Oman’s cultural footprint, this initiative aims to foster deeper connections between Oman and other Arab and international audiences, sharing insights into Oman’s rich history, cultural achievements, and burgeoning tourism landscape.
This year’s fair, one of the largest literary gatherings in the Arab world, hosts 2,522 publishers and exhibitors from 108 countries. The program features over 1,357 events, including 500 cultural discussions, workshops, and panels, with participation from 250 notable figures from 63 countries. Among them are 85 celebrated Arab authors and 49 international literary icons from 14 countries. Visitors can also look forward to over 400 book signings from acclaimed writers, adding to the vibrant cultural exchange and literary excitement of the fair.
