Swedish-Danish postal Group PostNord has brought together all of its different international operations as one business unit, under joint management. By doing this, the company wants to strengthen its market leadership.
PostNord is a postal group, which offers many services. It is based in the Nordics, and is known for its parcel deliveries and its network of parcel lockers. The company also handles cross-border shipments, and offers warehouse and fulfillment services.
Three units into one
The company’s three units with operations outside the Nordics (PostNord Germany, PostNord Worldwide Connect and Direct Link) are now all joined into one business unit, called PostNord International. Direct Link formerly was the business unit with a focus on fulfillment services.
‘The formation of PostNord International shows the Group’s initiative to adapt to its international growth potential’
The company has been increasingly focused on expanding its international footprint, over the past years. It expanded outside of the Nordics, for example. According to PostNord, the formation of PostNord International represents an initiative to adapt to this growth potential. The consolidation will enable the group to leverage synergies, optimize resources and deliver more value to customers.
