Madonna is feeling the post-election blues, struggling to come to terms with the fact that Donald Trump was re-elected as the President of the United States on Tuesday.
The Queen of Pop took to Instagram to express her feelings, posting a picture of a cake that featured fall-colored frosting, dotted with maraschino cherries and the words F**K TRUMP written in brown icing. She captioned the photo: “Stuffed my face with this cake last night!”
The Vogue singer is one of several celebrities who expressed their disappointment online, both as the results were rolling in and after the election was called, like Bette Midler, who jokingly threatened to down a bottle of Draino if Trump was declared the winner.
The 66-year-old followed the F U cake with another Instagram story, a selfie with the caption: “Trying to get my head around why a convicted felon, rapist, Bigot was chosen to lead our country because he’s good for the economy?”

It was hard to leave, but I had. to come home.to V.O.T.E. [two American flag emoji’s] @kamalaharris For. President!!!! [black heart emoji],” endorsing Kamala Harris.
Several celebrities took to the internet to express their grievances over Trump’s win, such as Cardi B, Christina Applegate, Jack White, Ariana Grande, Angel Reese, Sophia Bush, Adam McKay, and LeBron James.
Selena Gomez, the third most followed person on Instagram, posted the words “My heart is heavy” accompanied by an Audre Lorde quote: “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.”
High Fidelity actor John Cusack wrote on X: “The fact that the country would choose to destroy itself by voting in a convicted felon rapist and Nazi is a sign of deep nihilism. To put it mildly.”
