The initiative group headed by the president of the Constantin Mimi Foundation, Cristina Frolov, and the mayors of the villages of Bulboaca, Hirbovat, and Gura Bicului, as well as the Local Action Group Serpentina Nistru, recently had a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Sergiu Prodan, during which they presented to the official the existing tourist attractions in the region, the development opportunities, as well as the plan for the realization of a tourist route that would include the localities of Bulboaca, Hirbovat, Gura Bicului, Varnita and Telita on the Dniester bank.
After the November 6 discussions, participants decided to form a working group to visit the listed villages, assess the existing tourist sites, and develop a plan for the tourism route.
In mid-October, Mimi Castle hosted the Disaster Risk Reduction Forum on “Perspectives of tourism development in Anenii Noi district.” Twenty-five opinion leaders from the Anenii Noi district attended the meeting, led by the president of the Constantin Mimi Foundation, Cristina Frolov. In a unanimously approved resolution, Frolov urged the authorities to approve a budget dedicated to tourism development in the region. Another of their requests was to organize a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Culture to underline the importance of supporting rural tourism.
