SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The public can help decide the next book locals will read for the “Sioux City Reads” program.
Sioux City Reads is a community-based reading initiative.
This year the theme is true crime.
Three books are in the running including “Among the Bros: a Fraternity Crime Story“ Long Haul: Hunting the Highway Serial Killers” and “Unmasked Alice: LSD, Satanic Panic and the Imposter Behind the World’s Most Notorious Diaries.”
The library hopes the book, and the reading program, help bring people together.
“We really look forward to Sioux City Reads because it provides a universal experience for people in our community to share. We can’t always come together over everything, but we can always come together over a good book and that is really the main goal of Sioux City Reads,” said Reader Services Librarian Michael Maxwell.
