EgyptAir recently hosted a workshop for Nigerian travel agents in Lagos to strengthen its partnership and enhance the airline’s offerings in the Nigerian market.
Welcoming participants to the occasion, the airline’s country manager, Mr. Amr Basha said; “As a leading airline, our promise is to ensure that we offer world-class services to our esteemed customers offering the best of Egyptian hospitality by taking you safely to your destination while you sit back, relax and enjoy the sky.
“We aim to strengthen the relationship we have as an airline with our stakeholders and partners in an effort to better understand their challenges and find lasting solutions to them. We are an airline that prides itself on hospitality, and we promise to continue to listen to you so that we can serve you better.”
During an interview session, the airline addressed common concerns raised by travel agents, such as visa requirements, ticketing procedures, transit guidelines, and immigration challenges faced by passengers traveling for tourism, studies, medical treatment, or business. The airline’s sales executive, Faith Obazee, made a presentation on its services including an update on new routes, airline fleet and destinations, while the station manager, Mr. Mohammed Afifi, explained the various scenarios to participants and stressed that it is important for travelers going to Egypt or transiting for 12 hours or more to have a yellow fever card. During his presentation, the General Manager, Elite Tours, Mr. Muharram Rahman said, “One year ago, EgyptAir took a strategic decision to engage the services of a General Sales Agent (GSA) in order to deepen its market access in the Nigerian market and to drive its sales and marketing approach. Due to my experience and knowledge of the Nigerian market having served first as the Abuja Office Manager, I was invited once again to work here as the GSA Manager. The airline later recognised top performing travel companies, with Mr. Basha saying, “I would like to thank all our travel agents for partnering with us over the years and for your exceptional efforts and performance in boosting our sales and helping to improve our services with your various comments and suggestions.”
