On November 15, the National Assembly of Armenia unanimously ratified an agreement with Kazakhstan regarding mutual travel for citizens. The document received the support of all 95 members of parliament present.
The agreement expands the list of valid travel documents, allowing Armenian citizens to enter Kazakhstan using ID cards and Kazakh citizens to do the same with national identity cards.
The agreement will take effect 30 days after the last written notification is exchanged through diplomatic channels confirming the completion of all necessary domestic procedures by both parties.
As of July 3, 2024, Kazakhstan has yet to send the corresponding notification.
Experts note that this agreement will significantly simplify mutual travel between the two countries and promote the development of tourism and business relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan.
