Kubbra Sait, who has showcased her versatility on multiple occasions, portrays the character of Shehnaaz in the romantic comedy Khwaabon Ka Jhamela and her vulnerability in the film received much love from her fans. As the film continues to receive acclaim from audiences, along with Kubbra also receiving appreciation, many may not know the incredible challenge she faced during filming.
Kubbra Sait recalls her accident during the filming of Shekhar Lakhot and how it could have impacted the shoot of Khwaabon Ka Jhamela; says, “They believed in me”
The actress reportedly suffered several injuries on her hand due to a mishap on the sets of the film. Elaborating on the incident, Kubbra Sait revealed, “I met with an accident while shooting an action sequence for Shehar Lakhot. My entire left forearm ripped out of my elbow. Just five days later, I was scheduled to shoot for Khwaabon Ka Jhamela. I was in excruciating pain and fearful about how I’d manage.”
But Kubbra maintained how she received unwavering support from her producer Harman Baweja and director Danish. “They believed in me, saying, ‘Come over, we’ll manage everything.'”, she expressed gratitude, adding, “It’s a huge thank you because they trusted that I could still deliver with my face, emotions, and eyes.”
Speaking of Khwaabon Ka Jhamela, the film is a romantic comedy reuniting the Four More Shots Please duo of Sayani Gupta and Prateik Babbar along with Lilette Dubey, Kaizaad Kotwal, and others playing key roles. It released on JioCinema on November 8.
Looking ahead, Kubbra has an exciting lineup of projects with Deva that stars Shahid Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, and Pavail Gulati in key roles. She will also be seen in the recently announced Son of Sardaar 2 where she will be featuring alongside an ensemble cast with Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur as the leads. She also has the David Dhawan directorial that is an untitled comedy entertainer starring Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Maniesh Paul.
