LOUISA Kentucky Science Center is bringing its free, hands-on early childhood experience to the Lawrence County Public Library on Saturday.
Science in Play2Go, a miniature version of Kentucky Science Center’s signature Science in Play exhibit, is meant for children 8 and older. The traveling exhibit allows for “open-ended play” and “loose parts,” which are materials that may be used in a variety of ways and aid in the development of STEAM skills, as well as collaboration and creativity.
The exhibit is open to the community during normal library hours. Field trips and group visits to Science in Play2Go are encouraged; groups, including schools and local community centers, may contact the library directly to arrange a visit.
Lawrence County Public Library is at 102 W. Main St. in Louisa. The library’s Science in Play2Go experience is available to the public through Feb. 15.
