BOZEMAN, Mont. – In celebration of Veterans Small Business Week, Senator Daines released a video spotlighting La Cuisine, a veteran-owned business in Bozeman.
Tina Cusker, co-owner of La Cuisine, shared insights about their boutique European-inspired kitchen store. “Hi, I’m Tina Cusker and I’m a co-owner with my husband at La Cuisine. We are Bozeman’s boutique European-inspired kitchen store,” she said. The store offers a variety of kitchen and dining essentials, and also partners with local chefs for weekly cooking classes.
Tina and her husband, Brett, are Montana natives and former active-duty service members. “Brett and I are both Montana natives. So, coming back to Bozeman, uh was really important to us because we went from 25 years as an active-duty family serving the country to now, we have the opportunity to serve our fellow Montanans,” Tina explained.
The Cusker family uses their business to support veteran families in Montana. “So many people don’t realize that Montana has the highest veteran population per capita in the nation. When one family member chooses to serve the entire family ends up serving,” Tina said.
Highlighting the impact of veteran-owned businesses, Tina noted that “68%, of course, of our small businesses here in the state of Montana are owned by veterans.”
Tina expressed gratitude for Senator Daines’ support of the Main Street Tax Certainty Act. “We are incredibly grateful that Senator Daines is supporting the Main Street Tax Certainty Act. Without those dollars, that would otherwise go to taxes, we are able to hire more employees, we’re able to keep our prices more affordable and more competitive in the marketplace as a result,” she said.
La Cuisine continues to serve the Bozeman community while honoring the service and dedication of veterans. Find out more about their offerings on their website at lacuisine-bozeman.com.
