Christina Haack isn’t flip-flopping on how she feels about estranged husband Josh Hall.
The “Flip or Flop” star, 41, told Entertainment Tonight she did not have a good experience working with her former partner Josh Hall on the upcoming HGTV show “The Flip Off.”
“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” she said. “I feel like I was not shining as bright to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
She added, “It was not fun, to be honest. I did not enjoy filming with him.”
In May, it was announced that Haack would star with Hall in the HGTV show “The Flip Off” alongside her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and Moussa’s wife Heather Rae El Moussa. But in July, Haack and Hall both filed divorce documents in California, citing irreconcilable differences, according to filings obtained by USA TODAY. They had been married since October 2021.

“The Flip Off” moved forward without Hall, and Haack told ET that it would have been “hard” to continue filming with him, in part due to Hall’s alleged “jealousy” over Haack’s dynamic with Tarek El Moussa. Heather Rae El Moussa, meanwhile, bluntly told the outlet, “I don’t want to be mean, but it was kind of nice to see him go.”
In August, Hall addressed the divorce in an Instagram post and shared it was not his idea.

“I prefer privacy, especially during something as life changing as a divorce I did not ask for,” he wrote at the time. “I will not publicly badmouth anyone as people have families, friends and others who respect and love them. Unfortunately the internet is forever.”
He added, “We are real humans, this is our life and I am not here to entertain people I don’t know with my private matters. Those details will be handled fairly behind closed doors with our respective counsels in due time. Those who know each of us, know who we are.”

Haack later shared how she was doing, writing in an Instagram story that she has her “appetite back,” is “exercising again” and has had “some of my best nights with friends.”
“I have a life coach and I made myself and her a promise − I will never ever give away my peace again,” she said. “I will say − if you’ve ever lost peace and gained it back there is a new level of gratitude for every single moment of life. A huge level of appreciation for the present moments and being present.”
In an August Instagram story, Haack also addressed men who had been sending her handwritten letters since she became single, writing, “No you will not be my 4th ex-husband.”
“The Flip Off” will air on HGTV in January.
