A closed Galway takeaway has finally been replaced as a new business opens its doors in the city centre this week.
Mizzoni’s Pizza in Eyre Square closed its doors back in July this year leaving many fans feeling bereft.
The business closure left an empty space in the lucrative city location for many weeks until this month when the fast food spot’s replacement opened up.
Pictures show that the spot has been taken up by a new coffee shop named Cafe Ólé.
The new venture will likely be a welcome addition to area, as photos show that people are already queueing up to sample what the coffee shop has to offer.
It is not the only new opening in the county this week.
The Coffee District will soon open its doors in Athenry Shopping Centre, Prospect, Athenry, and gave an update to locals last week as well as offering future patrons a taste of what’s to come.
The upcoming café excitedly confirmed that the opening date is nigh with The Coffee District set to open its doors on Thursday 14 November. They also promised that they would be sharing their full menu soon.
The Coffee District updated locals: “Closer by the day. Still loads to do but sure we’ll get there. Open for sit down this Thursday 14th. Full menu coming soon.”
The Coffee District has already informed the public of the type of goods they can expect: “Delighted to announce we will be opening for sit down this Thursday 14th from 8am. To start we will be serving a selection of pastries, desserts, teas and coffee”
The Coffee District began the process of hiring for their new venture in October 2024, taking CVs for barista, floor staff, kitchen porter, and kitchen assistant roles.
